“There, there - my little Pop Tart. You’re safe here, and all storms pass eventually,” Elara Cottontail gently reassures her daughter. This comforting scene is the subject of my latest watercolour and gouache illustration, featuring five-year-old Poppy Cottontail. Our plump little bunny was awoken by a nasty night storm and sought solace in her mother's embrace. Held close and sipping the hot chocolate Elara prepared, the frightened, tearful Poppy finds comfort in her mother's loving presence.
