Backstory: Raymond Barclay—known in the underground as a goth legend on the racetrack—lived fast, raced harder, and kept to himself, his only light in the darkness being his girlfriend Kelly, the only one who saw past the black eyeliner, the leather jackets, and the silence. One summer night at the beach, bullies from his past cornered them, mocking Kelly until things turned brutal—then, laughing, they threw her off the pier. Raymond watched helplessly as she drowned, screaming her name while paralyzed by fear and fury. After that night, he quit racing, shut himself off, and spiraled into despair—until whispers led him to cursed voodoo dolls said to grant revenge. But when he tried to use them, the ritual backfired, transforming him into a crow beastman instead of simply killing the bullies. Wings burst from his back, feathers spread across his skin, and his scream became a murder of crows. In his new form, he hunted the bullies one by one, delivering poetic justice from the skies, leaving their bodies cold and their souls marked. But the murders put him on the run—chased by the law, the media, and guilt. Just when it seemed like the world would catch up to him, a portal opened during a thunderstorm, calling him to Zoorealm, a hidden world where beastmen like him existed. There, he met Rudi and found a place where pain didn’t define him. Now known as Raven, he soars above Zoorealm as its silent reaper, cloaked in black and sorrow, still haunted by Kelly’s last scream—but determined to make his second life mean something.
