I LOVE making Sonas, I've made tons for tons of different series and things I like. But I've always struggled to make something I like for Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. Despite them being my favorite series for years of my life.

So, here's my latest attempt at them! Meet Green and Green

Green (Mariosona)

An adventurer from Dragon Land! She's a hero for hire who goes on tons of random adventurers wherever the wind takes her! She also spends a LOT of time saving and helping the rulers of Dragon Land: Queen Bahamut, Princess Leviathan, Princess Behemoth, Princess Ziz!

Each one rules a different part of Dragon Land, and while Green is roughly Mario/Yoshi sized, the Queen and Princesses are MASSIVE! Rivaling something closer to The Lord of Lightning's size.

Green is Dragon Land's Mario parallel. And I imagine she's introduced as a teammate in an RPG taking place in Dragon Land. Where they need Mario to help stop a looming threat. Green and Mario butt heads at first but end up becoming good friends by the end of the game

My philosophy for her design was to make her similar to other good reptilians in the series like Yoshi and Birdo. I wanted her to wear clothes, but most if not all Mario reptiles are nude lol. So I wanted her to fit in!

She can breath lightning out of her mouth! I figured Mario characters can really be anything so I decided to not limit myself to a species that definitively exists while also trying to make it familiar to what we've seen before. Don't be surprised if she comes back with clothes eventually aha

Green the Bahamut (Sonicsona)

She is a Dragon of unknown origin. Not knowing who she is or where she comes from, not finding her origins with any previous draconic-type creature in Sonic's world. She's a hero-for-hire who goes around the world doing odd jobs while trying to find herself!

As of right now I don't have any plans for her being friends with the main cast. In fact, I think she's such an unpopular hero the main characters don't even know about her. But of course if she ever meets anyone, it'll be Team Dark.

She's a Power Character and can do electric powered moves such as possibly even repelling static around her to go faster or even using electric conduction to help her homing attack enemies (especially badniks cause, yknow, metal). She's probably a little less bold than the Mario sona, being a less popular hero in her respective world.

For THIS one's philosophy. I've wanted to make my Sonic sona an alligator for YEARS. And I REALLY wanted it to match Vector's body type since he's the closest we have to an Alligator. But no matter how hard I try, I could NEVER make a sona in the style of Vector I was comfortable with so ultimately I decided FUCK IT and just made her a new reptile, incorporating elements of Vector, Espio, and Trip. I was contemplating making her a monitor lizard or a dinosaur or something I haven't used often. But... dragons are back in Sonic in a big way after Superstars SO! She's a Bahamut

And in general, yes, I've made sonas for Mario and Sonic in the past. Like my Mario Enemy Sona, who was a Fizzlit. or my Sonic Forces Sona, Geno the Hedgehog. But I've always wanted a proper MAIN sona that could fit into those series.

While these aren't perfect, I think they're best I've ever done. So I hope you enjoy them too I'm still a little less into Mario and Sonic as I used to be, but in general I've always struggled to make OCs for these universes even when I was OBSESSED with them (maybe too much pressure to make them good in my mind?)

But who knows maybe you'll see some new, actually well done OCs for them come back. Like Batrophy or Breeze the Polar Bear. Who knows!!
