The goggles were specifically requested, but I kinda figure she forgets to take them off most of the time anyway. It's easy to figure a semi-regular happening is that she starts to take a shower and suddenly realizes she forgot to remove her goggles first, so the idea that she would forget to take them off before going to bed seemed pretty logical to me.
