Before becoming the loving, caring mother of Sonic and Amy, Bernadette served in the Great War against the barbaric mutants known as the Overlanders, alongside her lifelong friend and future husband Jules Hedgehog. After getting married, she retired from active duty and made a new home at Seaside Island to raise her future children there.
