I'm slow when it comes to fan art. Here's some Regular Show. Hopefully I captured the essence of Mordecai & Rigby's style.
Regular Show has been one of my favorite shows alongside adventure time ever since they started airing. While Adventure Time is always full of bright colors and nonstop wacky shenanigans, Regular Show has a nice calm washed out color palette & chill attitude and pace until things go awry, which are hilariously over-exaggerated.
Lots of people can generally see their friendships reflected in these characters. I'm a bird kinda guy and my friend is a lover of raccoonish animals. Just about the only attribute that reflects upon us a little wrong is our stance on laziness and maturities. Everything else is pretty spot on including my hopeless love life and his ability to turn anything into a joke.
I tried to do a background, but I can't use water color tools for the life of me.

I dunno, there's always some form of sneaky contracting in which a network gains the rights to characters and distribution, but that is probably just how Nickelodeon & Viacom works. Viacoms always on top of their game when it comes to removing copyrighted content. I don't know how these things work, I just don't think Cartoon Network would want younger fans seeing an acid trip starring 2 of their favorite characters haha.
