Though no conclusive evidence has ever been produced, the theory of Homo Gigantis, an abnormally large and violent subspecies of Homo Sapiens continue to circle among certain scientific and anthropological groups well into modern day. While rarely taken seriously, proponents believe that the Gigantis may have been the basis of mythological beings like giants, trolls, ogres, and similar monstrous, cannibalistic beasts.
Thankfully, if it ever existed at all, Homo Gigantis likely went extinct in early prehistory. Probably.
