The Akulas are the most noble species of these lands. They are respected for having founded the city and providing a safe haven for aquatic folk. Gifted with powerful magic granted by the god Leviathan, this species is the royalty of the oceans, and no one would dare try to overthrow them.

Physically, they resemble a blend of a catfolk, with their feline-like eyes, a kitsune with their long muzzles, and an orca with the black-and-white coloration of their fur. Female Akulas can reach up to 10 feet in height, while males are much smaller, standing up to 7 feet tall. They are a matriarchal society, meaning the mother of the family is usually the queen, and her husband follows her to offer counsel.

There are several Akula bloodlines. The royal family, Von Orcas, is identified by bluish tattoos running along their arms and bodies, as well as a distinct marking beneath their eyes.
