Megaman was able to defeat many opositions in his time:
More than 100 Robot Masters
The soccer field
The racetrack
More than 10 versions of Dr. Wily's UFO
The many incarnations of the Yellow Devil
The Buebeam Trap
Alien Robots that were immune to his Mega Buster
"Megaman Killer" robots
8 Incarnations of Sigma, including the dreaded Velguader Sigma
Both the Sigma and Zero Viruses
Navi counterparts of Robot Masters
Countless viruses
Powerful Reaverbots
But the one thing that he was unable to defeat?
His creators. Capcom themselves were a power that not even he could defeat.
Rock, Megaman "The Blue Bomber" 1987-2011 RIP.

I don't even understand that...
Also, Capcom apparently implemented some stupid thing into the Resident Evil 3DS game that makes it so you can only have ONE save file per cartridge so that you can't go back and play old levels, or start a new game. Making it so you can't sell it used at all, so if you want to start over you have to purchase an ENTIRELY NEW CARTRIDGE.
That would be like purchasing a book or a movie, then reading it/watching it once, and then only being able to watch the last five minutes of the movie, or read the last few pages of the book, and if you wanted to read/watch it again, you have to buy another copy..
It's just... corrupt. Rrrgh.

No wonder why it's called Crapcom now. That's incredibly stupid thing.

Please. *rolls eyes*
I don't know what all the pessimism is about. As long as we all continue to enjoy all (or some of) the Megaman games out there today, Megaman will NEVER die.
So what if Capcom doesn't make any more new games. I could play Megaman 2 for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. ^^

I actually really liked the Battle Network series, especially the 3rd game (never tried Star Force or whatever the follow up series was called). Granted, you could probably argue that it'd be better if it was branded with the Mega Man name given how different it is, but since the series already has multiple universes, I thought that it fit in alright.
Indeed. They'd much rather recycle already existing games (Super Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom, and Street Fighter 3 Online) and blame the fans for not wanting Mega Man Legends 3 enough. Oh, and I just read today that they've partnered up with the creators of Hello Kitty to create a line of Street Fighter/Hello Kitty toys... seriously, why?
What're you complaining about? At least they didnt shit new Megaman games just to fill their pockets the way Sonic Team did to their own mascot...
I've been a fan of Megaman games since I was a wee kid (One of my VERY first NES games after Mickey Mousecapade and Super Mario Bros) and I gotta say, when the series surprised, I got surprised. It lived up to its name, it lived up to people's expectations and beyond (Who needed the Battle Network series anyway? And let alone, its sequel?) but everything they added was just to please the fans. They had racing games, beat-em-up games, A FUCKING BOARD GAME, several sequels with arguably the same play style, many characters, many rivals, a series featuring one of them, two games featuring the same storyline with them, multiple abilities and powers, a good 99% of which were ALL unique, level concepts, it's still untopped to this day.
I havent read anything about the series being dead, I dunno where you got that info, but to me it's been dead for years, nothing new or exciting has happened since the ZX series (Which I think it's an egg laid by the Zero series and just wants to tie in things)
Megaman was born, Megaman was killed. X was born. X was killed. Zero was born. Zero was killed. And so on, every Megaman they created saw an opening and an end, and it can as well have its good byes if it has to be. I'm with anyone.

No no no no no.....please say it isn't so. Im a total megaman fan. I've played all the games. AND NOW IT ENDS?!?!?!?!?! That is ........ I can't even explain the stupidity. Megaman is capcom's backbone. Was the series "too hard" for too many people?! Well I say you're just bad at games if you give that excuse. Im sorry for talking so much, but I really care about this subject. But besides the point, that's a pretty powerful picture in thus terms of a persuading argument.
I know excately what you feel, but to tell you the truth, I was just as blue you are right now a few years ago. But when it all seemed hopeless, BAM! Mega Man 9 and 10. But I agree, Inafune leaving Capcom felt like 9000 hits in the nuts all at once. Even though I'm sceptical, I think Capcom understands how much Mega Man means to many people. Hell, I was certain Rayman was dead after being overshadowed by all those annoying rabbids, BAM! Rayman Origins. Although you're upset, don't give up hope, after all most game companies are known to surprise people. Who knows, someday in 2012 or after Capcom comes to their senses and Mega Man 11, X9 or Legends 3 will be reality.
Yes, Capcom should take Megaman to Nintendo if he's too much trouble for them (Every Megaman that exists that is), then people won't have to hack a SSB game to play as Megaman! I've used hacks on my Wii allot (Even played as X too! Same moveset as Samus though. Didn't get a PSA for him, Megaman X I mean.), then suddenly one day, I got a disc read error when loading hacks, then not a single disc worked on my Wii ever again! Well, Metroid Other M worked for a little bit after that, then I got the same error again! THEN that's the time no discs worked anymore! I've even tried inserting an Animal Crossing City Folk game, and it failed! My Wii doesn't work with disc to this day! Homebrew Channel (and everything else that doesn't need a disc to play), still works though.
Yes, Nintendo would take good care of the Megaman series if Capcom gave away rights of Megaman to Nintendo. (Like how Clover gave away rights of Okami to Capcom before Clover quit. Because of that, there's three Okami games. One on the PS2, A remake of the PS2 Okami on Wii, and Okamiden on DS.)
And THIS is why many who don't like Capcom call them "Cr@pcom" (censored myself); Capcom makes stupid excuses for canceling Megaman games, it's hurting the fans emotionally, and hurting Capcom's finacial conditions. Sooner than later, they'll need to make a choice if they keep this-up with hurting the fans: Save their company by making a great Megaman game that will sell through the roof, or option B. Give the Megaman games rights (As well as their other games' rights) to a more reliable company before their company dies. I hear Megaman is going to be in the new Smash Bros game though. Sadly, my friend is disappointed, do to the fact it's Rock, and not any of the other Megamans, since Rock is the cliche of the Megaman series. Any time they put Megaman in a game other than a Megaman game, it's always Rock, not that I'm complaining. Rock is Original Megaman btw.
