You're asking this 9 years later? O.o The mouse episode I know of is a Merry Melodies short called The Unexpected Pest. Can't remember the name of the bird one, but I do know it's been done.

Nah, it was about a pair of mice who ate so much cheese they were sick of the stuff, cat eventually wanted a dog to murdalize him, while dog wanted dog catcher to take him away. Sadly, never got to see dog catchers reaction.
