Truthfully, tonight had been Jerry’s first time in the Chamberfield’s horse stable, and yet, he spoke and acted towards his friend as if the place was an old home. Maybe it was to convince his friend of his adventurous nature, or just to calm his own nerves, but Jerry trotted around the hay covered floors with a mischievous confidence that only added to his friend’s discomfort.
“Are you sure you know what you're doing?” Jerry’s friend asked, looking up the confident man that began to step up onto a stool, with horseshoe in hand. Neither of them seemed to notice the sound of Jerry’s pants tearing as his rear ballooned in size under the light of the moon.
“Trust me, the look on their faces once they see these horseshoes scattered across the field will be amaeeiighzirng!” Jerry snorted out, allowing his nostrils to spread in opposite directions as the growth of an equine snout introduced itself across his smug face.
“Dude, cut it out, the owner is gonna hear us!” Whispered Jerry’s friend, fearful of the loud, whinnying noise that flew from Jerrys mouth just moments ago. Jerry seemed not to register this sound, even as his ears began to grow upwards into points.
Jerry’s rear, meanwhile, shone proudly and massively to no particular eyes, pulling his weight downwards as one of his feet-now-hooves cracked the small wooden stool under his massive weight. His legs and body shimmered with a soft glow of energy emitting from the horseshoe in his front leg as his proud horse tail whipped a cool breeze against his upper thigh.
“Come on dude, there are never any people here at neeeight…” he sputtered again, sending flecks of spit flying across the barn towards the human.
Jerry flung his shoe into the field, and then promptly began to run out of his home to get it back.
