Just bought another set of these antique leather gaiters from Switzerland. The vendor misidentified the country of origin, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the set. Several treatments of saddle soap to bring out the luster and soften the leather a bit. Also made a minor repair. These are WW2 dated. Will probably sell these.

I remember wearing some damned heavy/stout canvas 'Snek Guards' way back in the days I was traipsing all over the Great SouthWest. Never had a snek actually try to hit 'em, but they damn sure saved my shins from many a jagged rock and more thorny sage/cacti than I can count!
Which begs the question- I didn't KNOW Sweden had sneks?!

O.o?!
oopppsss!
heh heh heh
Eyes saw one thing, brain registered it, fingers typed whatever the heck they wanted... (Gets me into MORE trouble, I swear!)
Same question/observation however. I wasn't aware Switzerland had sneks? (Of course, nothing stops a Company anywhere, from producing whatever it likes. Just caught my curiosity...)
