Masezaru and the Guitar of Hope [PERSONAL]
I finally got this done and it took me AGES as the background was giving me an existential crisis! @A@ Anyways, I finally got it done thank heavens.
Crappy short story time! :D
I bought this guitar from some garage sale somewhere in the Goldenrod City neighborhood, exploring a ruins found by Prof. Elm and some archaeologists somewhere northwestward of the Johto border, as he is helping me find a way to free the two souls I have within me. I then took off immediately just before I felt a couple of eyes from determined trainers gazing on me (wish I could tell them those don’t affect me, but it didn’t matter. I swear these trainers need to try and look at the news about me being a sanctioned Pokémon and it was tested that it doesn’t work on me when I was in Kalos…) flying off to the north and some miles away from the Pokémon National Park further north.
I then immediately landed at a small clearing with the guitar in my left hand and examined it. It was used as there is some wear here and there, but it is kept in good shape. Knowing it is or was in good hands. Can’t believe he gave it to me for free as I wanted to pay him for it… Still, this thing had some stories and I guess his age is catching up to him. I remember my human side’s memories as he did some practice playing a guitar during his adventures with his Pokémon. I sat down at a nearby fallen log.
After tuning the strings and giving it a couple of strums, for some reason I started playing music I don’t know. Like this instrument is filled with magic, I didn’t question it, nor wonder why, I just played the songs that just flowed directly to my head, as I wasn’t aware of having Pokémon watching me at a distance or passing by me. It felt nice really, this acoustic feeling to it. I didn’t know how long I was playing but this last song, this last song made me feel like I’m traveling in some winter blizzard, in some snowy ruins as I kept going and going even when all feels lost. Then, in the horizon, a light breaks through the blizzard landscape. Like a dawning hope, knowing not to give up and keep on going, trudging through the deep snow no matter how cold it gets or how dark it becomes. Soon, that feeling fade as this strange song ends, but that lingering presence of hope still lingers in my heart and mind.
I look at it confusingly, but I couldn’t help but make a smile forming across my muzzle. I look up at the nice afternoon sky with my smile still on my face, feeling hopeful that I will succeed. “I hope this song reaches you two… Kenzaki, Blaze…” I said under my breath. I then soon take to the skies heading northwest to meet the archaeologists at that new site to uncover.
