The young fennec prince groaned and thought, Traveling is so tiring! shifting in his comfortable litter, his perky little rump feeling sore from lounging so long. He rubbed she shapely cheeks as he shifted onto his side, peering out between the curtains at the city slowly moving past, the view framed by his large Arabian stallions as they carried the elegantly adorned and covered litter from the port through the streets of Rome, for the young prince to meet his Marc Antony... a strong noble warhorse who had taken a fancy to the exotic Egyptian royal on his way to a conquest of some backwards people or another. Jaspian never could keep them all straight... the Whochitu and the Whatchitu... it was all just a bunch of gobbledygook anyway. There were more important topics to consider... like what would he wear to the reception tonight? Surely there would be one... and he'd want to shock and impress.... being from an exotic foreign part of the Empire, but not so alien as to be unfashionable. He pondered as he watched the tall elegant white marble structures float by with their delicate facades. We must be getting close to the palace now... Jaspian considered... majestic buildings and fine livery where there were just huts and riffraff a moment ago... I do hope he has a big palace... and lots of servants... Jaspian rubbed at his ear, feeling the firm shape and fine lines of an ankh studded elegantly through a large velvety ear.
The litter stopped and he was helped down by an immaculately dressed estate servant. "The General had to take a moment's leave for some important business. He told me to inform you that he shall return before supper. In the meantime, let me show you to the gardens. I'm sure you'd like to stretch your legs after such a long voyage..."
Jaspian nodded, suppressing the irk that he had been left waiting. "Very well. Lead the way. And fetch me a sample of your famous wine, will you?" The servant bowed and lead Jaspian to a door through a fence, ushering him through as he held it open for him. Jaspian glanced levelly around. The garden was lush and green. He found marble carvings dotted the rows of hedges and shrubs and flowers. He stopped at a few busts... famous generals and politicians, gazing into the far-off distance as if gazing into the future.... and he wondered if any of them really had such a noble visage. He scoffed slightly and smirked. Finally he came to a large level table-shaped sculpture with nothing on it. Clearly this piece was unfinished, and would someday be the pedestal for the relaxed form of some famous queen, or perhaps the weighted base for a large standing figure... maybe even two? Locked in combat, perhaps...
Jaspian slid his slinky body up onto the base, feeling the sun on his fur, stretching prone on the marble slab, sunning himself. After these weeks in litters and ships, it felt good on him, and it felt good to not have his weight on his lovely rump. He scooted his loincloth to one side, giving his tush some sun as well, as he relaxed, his back arched a little, matching the style of the surrounding artwork itself, posing in regal relaxation... like royalty.. as he waited for his Italian Stallion to return.

So I'm sorry to disappoint if you were expecting more from the story, but that's kinda just what I get from the picture when I look at it.

I think I might be done with this story.... writing is a bit of a lost art in the furry fandom. For the most part, people don't notice it. Unless you're a Kyell Gold or a Fuzzwolf and started early and got a lot of publicity... it's pretty hard to get readers. In fact, without some serious fetish content, you're lucky if anyone reads it at all, and then you're really reducing your readership.
The problem is, it just takes so long to consume written media. I think I'm a very good writer, but the fact is, it takes 20 minutes to consume a short story, but only 10 seconds to consume an image. Unless your audience knows its worthwhile, they're not going to read your stories, and they're not going to know its worthwhile until they read some of your stories. I think that's what they call a Catch-22, but I'm not positive.
If you think I can get a following when its a serious uphill battle like this one, maybe I'll try writing seriously.

hmm well i dont really know, all i have to say is, writing is an art and all it needs is the heart of the writer. If your willing to write a story and want to write it then do it. Dosent matter if people read it or not, i didnt care when i began writing and i still dont, i write for the fun of it and the thrill of making theese worlds, for in each story there is a world born of your words. ^_^
As a very creative person, I can respect your desire to create these interesting worlds... but to me that's not quite enough. I just don't see the point of writing something if nobody will read it.
I have written a few things... there's an
Bonk comic coming out next year written by me, but... see... I know people will read that because its a porn comic with art by a great artist. :D
I just can't justify to myself writing something unless I know someone somewhere will appreciate it... and the more people who see it, the better
