Der Preis ist Heiß (German TPIR): Theme
"Der Preis ist Heiß" is the German version of television's most beloved game show, "The Price is Right." The original show ran from 1989 to 1997 on RTL, and had a brief run in 2017 before making another comeback in 2022, where it has aired on RTLplus ever since. While the original run eventually changed over to using the American theme song, the song I've done here was the original theme tune written when the show first started, which I thought was actually quite catchy, so I decided to give it a try.
My version is for:
Sax section (alto, tenor, baritone)
Horn section (B-flat trumpet(s), trombone)
Marimba
Drum set
Conga drums
Tambourine
Piano
Harp
Electric guitar
Acoustic guitar
Bass guitar

TRIVIA: The 1990-93 run of the Dutch version, Prijzenslag, also used this theme tune. The 80s run before that used the American theme instead (something the German show ended up doing later in its original run).
