Finally finished this piece after 40+ hours of work! The design is based on the client’s existing character, and my task was to redraw and refine it to make everything clearer and easier to understand. It may not look like much at first glance, but I actually separated a ton of layers and painted onto many parts that aren’t even visible on this artwork uploaded. The client can toggle the layers on and off to see details hidden behind overlapping parts.
I was also in charge of designing her outfit, which was inspired by motifs related to music, instruments, and poetry with a touch of Greek influence. Her weapon is a lyre that contains scrolls stored inside a metal frame.
Overall, I really enjoyed working on this one. It was such a fun project even though my poor old iPad struggled with Its RAM the whole time! (Keep on Fighting, Granny Ipad! XD)
