It must have thought you looked lonely. Maybe you did, for what its worth. From the point of view of a Delibird it'd be easy to assume any human looking down at their phone with a dry look on their face was lonely. So it waddled over, nothing but goodwill and mirth in its heart, and placed your 'present' in your lap. The mass of goop was roughly the size of a hat landed with a squelch and instantly clung to your legs. You gasped, making your new friend recoil as it watched your changes with anticipation. The mistake of grabbing at the goo ended with your hand quickly being pressed down into a flat flipper. The rubbery substance subsumed you with an unyielding pace, as if any bit of you that was visibly human was a weed in need of pruning. The padding swelled around you, forming what amounted to a layer of solid rubber blubber that reduced your flexibility with each passing second. The delibird clapped its wings together as it saw your new beak form, finally silencing your confused noises beneath the weight of its glossy solidity. It slowly closed around you altogether, forever hiding away your humanity with a little "plop" as your new face fully set. You waggled your wings against your face in a laughably pathetic attempt at grabbing onto anything. Meanwhile the little Delibird hugged your leg, clearly elated to have saved you from your dire fate as a human. With your new body you'd never be able to grab that awful, attention sucking phone again, and could focus on far more important things live having fun and spreading this joy to people in just as much need as you!
