So fun fact: I have yet to actually sit down and watch Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss (indeed, there's honestly a lot of shows I haven't gotten around to seeing even though I probably should...). However, many of my friends are fans, and thanks to listening to them go on about them, I've somehow become quite familiar with both shows regardless. On top of that, I've been told countless times at this point that my gal Dominique would be a perfect fit for the setting, so I decided to finally pull the trigger and reach out to Ninarts, an artist who's insanely good at capturing the shows' art style, to have them draw up a ref sheet for Sinner Dom!
This version of Dominique started out as human, but was otherwise very similar to one of the "meaner" versions of Dom who blatantly put her desires (aesthetic, sexual, or otherwise) over her clients wishes. Of course, you can't end up in the Hellaverse without... ya know... dying, so Dom met her end when the husband of one of her clients she had an extended and intimate relationship with decided to put an end to the affair with several rounds through her chest. Being self-centered, manipulative, and a bit of a homewrecker, she certainly wasn't making it up to Heaven, so she ended up down in the other place, taking on the form of a gryphon in the process, a mythological creature she was quite fond of in life.
Going to Hell did little in encouraging Dom to pause and do any self-reflection on how she ended up there. Quite the opposite in fact: Being amongst sinners, imps, and demons who were all just as nasty (and horny) as her caused her to quickly throw away any pretense of inhibition or restraint and instead embrace all the worst parts of herself. She now runs a salon down in the Pride Ring, and anyone who walks through her doors soon ends up bound in her salon chair and at the mercy of her capricious whims. Just shy of being a full-blown sadist at this point, she takes particularly perverse pleasure in giving clients makeovers that they don't want (but still look good or what she thinks they "need") and providing services that cause some level of physical discomfort: An extended eyebrow plucking session, a razor blade that lingers just a bit too long on the client's throat as she shaves them... anything that makes them squirm so that she can get aroused.
Even though her time in Hell so far has been comparatively brief, Dominique's already managed to gather quite a bit of power and influence for herself. Her favorite trick she's mastered so far is the ability to form a "bond" with any clients she's smitten with, a geas to ensure that they will always come back to her for future appointments and that only she can change their appearance. She's also managed to use her connections (including one very talented weaponsmith) to obtain a bespoke set of salon tools forged from Angelic Steel - no matter what a denizen of Hell has that they consider to be their "hair", her tools can cut and style it. And even with word-of-mouth quickly spreading about what kind of stylist Dominique is, she's never found herself lacking in clients, either. Some seek her out because they are perverse in their own ways and want to be at her mercy, while others simply see her talents as a stylist as so great that it's worth the risk to see her. It's gotten to the point that rumors have begun spreading across the different Rings that she's not a Sinner, but a Goetia. It's not true, of course - a Goetia wouldn't have visible ears or a lion tail - but she's more than happy to let people think that when it serves her.
However, despite all of this, Dominique has no real desire to become a big-name wheeling and dealing demon like Alastor. She's content with using her impressive abilities and resources simply for her salon business. Part of this is borne from pragmatism and self-preservation - those who are overly ambitious in Hell tend to end up with a huge target on their back, and Dom would very much like to not die a second time - but ultimately it's because she sees no need to. She already has everything she needs, and she's more than happy to spend an eternity in Hell being the sadistic and perverse stylist she always wanted to be.
