With the heat as it has been the only way to get a lot of good cool air in the house besides finally caving in and turning on the expensive as hell central air was to prop open my door at night and shove a big powerful fan in it to suck in the cool and blow out the hot. this of course means there is no barrier between me and anyone wanting in which oft leads to interesting visitors. Like this guy.

This is a remarkably beautiful moth. it is the Pandora Sphinx Moth. a native of my area. we have a few different species of Sphinx moths around here but this is the first time i have seen one of these. and unfortunately for this guy i did not see him for long. See i have a tank with some toads... i think you can see where this goes. Moths are beautiful but sometimes they are shitty fliers...
