Yup. More Lupin. Here's what I said when I originally posted it: "Erm. Yeah. So I watched the 'Return the Treasures' Lupin special recently. While I thought it *looked* shiny and awesome, and some of the gags were OK... there was something missing.
Lupin used to have a darker side. It's especially visible in the first TV series-- a sort of self-serving amusement at the rest of the world that was carried over from the manga.
The majority of the modern features concentrate more on his goofball heroic side. While there are aspects of -that- Lupin I love as well, sometimes I long for the days when he'd give that lecherous grin and try to rip off half of Fujiko's clothing or... y'know. SET PEOPLE ON FIRE. Ever see Goemon's intro episode in the first TV series? HE. SETS. THE. GUY. ON. FIRE. Or when he electrocuted a whole boardroom full of people in the first episode? Fricking bad ass. YES."
I still kinda like the look of this, so might as well have it here.

WEll, there was an episode where he filled a gigantic hole in Antartica with oil, set it on fire to suck out the Saudi Arabia Oil reserves, and this was to suck said oil of a treasure he found out it was "the knife and the original Koran by Mohammed", which he dismissed and tossed it at the guards, terrifed by what he did.
And this was a cunning plan by Fujiko, because he totally expected Lupin to figure and do this shit.
