So I really liked the way I got my head to look that previous picture ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/61785780/ ). The shape just come together right. I thought about if I could use that as an icon and decided no, it wouldn't do. Too little contrast with the background and the head's too much in profile to be seen at 100 by 100 pixels.

So, I thought, why not try again? And with everything I learned the first time around I'd do only an even better picture. I don't know that I did do a better job at the picture, but for a first attempt at drawing my own icon? It's turned out pretty well, especially given that I didn't look up advice on how to make a good icon and just winged it. Mostly I figured I needed more contrast on the outlines, which is why the shadows here are more opaque than my average and why there's an airbrushed shadow around the whole figure in back.

This, of course, is the time I decided to add little ruffles of fur to the outline. There's no hope of seeing this in any use of it as an icon, but in the full-scale picture here they show up.
