The soul of a dragon is immortal. Eras rise and fall, yet the dragons remain, in one for or another, sentinels of the word's endless evolution. They bare witness to humanity's strife. Countless civilizations come to pass, as wars perpetually cycle through. Technology advances, populations expand, and available resources become ever scarce. It is tragic tail older than history, but history passes in a blink of an eye to the observing dragons; however, one will come out of hiding once in a millennia with a purpose. An active dragon's duty is to restore balance whenever anomalous activity breeches the vestibule of the natural state of the planet. It is an arduous and often dangerous task, yet the necessity overshadows any contempt for the risk involved...
