Description:
Oswald Lemoine, a Canadian-born French scarlet snail, would live and sleep with his younger twin brother Maurice in a humble bungalow, in a Wisconsin-Minnesota border town of Hudson, far more often than in a nearby dorm where his other snail friends were staying there. As it turned out, both Oswald and Maurice were uncomfortable with getting into someone else's drama against their will. This wouldn't naturally stop the two brothers from quarreling with one another even over minor things, but still reeling from their childhood trauma of witnessing their parents fighting with each other, both verbally and physically, they would often find a common ground and quickly reconcile with each other, knowing full well they still needed each other despite all serious circumstances. Hence, not wanting to drag their own drama onto their friends, both the brothers would find themselves their own home, all while maintaining a close relationship with their friends. To further improvement to their daily lives, they would spend weekends leaving Hudson for a nearby town so they could attend a Catholic church, as Hudson itself was mostly Protestant, but eventually they would return home by Sunday night. Hudson also had no ice hockey rinks, so Oswald and Maurice had a better reason to go to that Catholic town for weekends, they just missed their pasttime of playing ice hockey.

Besides Oswald and his snail friends being the subject of ridicule since high school, they had a relatively peaceful time in recent years. It was so, until the time they also witnessed the upcoming large fraternity of slug jocks, aptly named "Alpha Sigma Salinkári" (or infamously AΣΣ), who had just developed their presence across the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. Those slug jocks, although proudly bigoted against snails, also proved to be disrespectful and arrogant towards locals, who wanted nothing to do with them but couldn't do so out of fear, especially when the fraternity somehow managed to beat the entire border town (next to Hudson) for even disapproving the slug jocks' obvious behavior. Although aware of those jocks' capacity, Maurice would rather seek safety in a basement, which proved to be a pain to Oswald's behind, despite understanding the need to escape such a toxic trend.

One day, Owen had enough money in joining the MALAKAS Project, the very interest that Oswald and his friends had been aware from Owen, but despite the dubious background and history behind the project, they unwaveringly trusted that Owen would eventually come home alive with something to help them on the long run. In fact, Owen often exclaimed the benefits mentioned by the said project.

Three months later, the environment around Hudson had grown nearly toxic since the presence of that slug fraternity, but casualties (mostly those trying to oppose the slug jocks) had become so prevalent, that Oswald joined Maurice in boarding up their own house for more protection, albeit at the expense of their own freedom. Despite that, Owen had come back home, not just alive, but, to their surprise, signifcantly stronger, bigger and more muscular. To top it all up, Owen had smuggled several muscle growth serums from the mountain base. While Oswald and his friends were eager to take on the injection, Owen required them to take on training as soon as possible every time they got injected, as they needed to strong and well-prepared enough to take down on slug jocks.

After few weeks, Owen and his snail friends began roaming around town to showcase themselves big and competent snails capable of fighting, causing several nearby slug jocks to show up to counter that claim. Seeing such good signs, Maurice agreed to let Oswald out so he could help his friends, but still needed to reboard himself out of fear. The snails successfully fought back, but the slug jocks kept coming. After few days of progressing losses, the slug jocks had realized that those snails were not to be messed with, and left Hudson to alert their fellow jocks in nearby border towns. The infuriated slug fraternity imposed an invasion against Hudson in retaliation, but its townsfolks, thanks to assistance by Owen and his friends, propped up their own defenses and fought those slugs off. The other border towns had also seen the said event, which gave them an opportunity to drive the remaining slug jocks (who were completely demoralized at this point) out as the result. Such was the result that completely convinced Maurice to take down all boards to his house and reach out to huge Oswald in a tearful relief.
