TRANSCRIPT
Even though my senses were overloaded, I heard something behind me. I turned around to see, and it was her. It was fucking her, that black-eyed lady. Before I could even mutter a word, I felt something pull me off the ledge to fall into the endless abyss.
As my vision and senses faded into unconsciousness, I remember hearing one last thing. A voice, her voice.
“One chapter ends, and another begins”
I woke up to a blinding bright light and warmth on my face. I was on top of the Obediah Tower, and the explosions of the battle had parted the clouds allowing the hot sun to reach the surface of Sol for the first time in who knows how long.
Before making my way down, I threw the tracker of my comms device off the ledge with my trembling hands. Satisfied, I found my old gear, everything intact. And the old STEEL Link? Left it behind, as I made my way back to the Well.
