Walter White and his Pontiac Aztek - August 2025
So recently, Hot Wheels released the third iteration of their modified Pontiac Aztek - With the exact paint shade and wheel setup of Walter White's Aztek in Breaking Bad. Naturally, this was no coincidence, as the car's trunk already came with his hat and glasses sitting there, but this was an on-the-nose reference - With the exception of the fact that the car came with a racing livery over the green paintwork.
However, this did not dissuade me, and thanks to the help of an Expo whiteboard marker, I was able to clean off the racing livery and give the car a much more stock appearance without harming the paint. I took the custom work further, detailing the taillights, mirrors, front grille, door handles, and even added a show-accurate license plate to the rear.
Lastly, in order to make the photos of the car passable in the various furry spaces I post in, I drew Walter White as a Cat and had him lean up against the driver's side. I liked doing this experiment in hybrid artwork, and I think I'll do it more often in the future to show off my custom diecast creations.
