Little down on their luck.
Tari taps his finger on the table worryingly. He wasn't very good at hiding his predicament. --Not that it was necessary, as his genie friend could make out quite well the dwindling chips Tari had lost.
It's not like it was cheating. Tari had placed down a spell neutralizing sphere to inhibit any spell leverage over the game which Sylvan agreed to. It agreed to a fair and square game. It said beforehand that luck is the fun part of gambling, not the winning.
Maybe it was just one of those days.
Sylvan stared at a worried Tari, smugly but concernedly for its Master. The genie went to break their trance by saying something.
"The cards haven't been treating you well... Would you care to use another deck Master?" Sylvan offered genuinely.
"No it's alright Sylvan. We've already tried four different decks already. I just think Lady Luck isn't liking me today."
Sylvan formed a grin at the edge of its mouth.
"Is that so Master?~" Sylvan purred as ideas started forming in it's head.
It went to go around the table and float behind its Master's back, placing its hands gently on its Master, before giving a soothing massage.
Sylvan went to go give a small smooch right under its Master's left ear.
"It's alright Master. We can play some other time..." Sylvan stated.
"I just-" Tari stumbled for a second.
"I just wish I could tell what the next card is sometimes...."
Sylvan's toothy grin forms widely as it states-
"Your wish is my command, Master~"
"Wait! No! That's not what I-"
**SNAP**
Sylvan calms its Master by putting him under a spell to pacify him. It strokes its Master's cheeks lovingly before stating-
"You should really be more careful what you say, Master. You make it too easy sometimes to mess with you~ Tee-hee!" the genie giggles.
Sylvan goes back around its Master, and deeply gazes into his eyes....
Tari panicked as he realized what he said.
"Wait! No! That's not what I-"
**SNAP**
A warm smoothness entered his mind. A warm sea washing away his thoughts and troubles. It felt so nice just to give in and float in the sea of unconsciousness.
He could still experience what was happening around him, but he feels too euphoric to change his course of action.
Long, slender fingers with sharp nails caresses his cheeks, making him smile a goofy grin in bliss.
He soon sees his faithful genie within vision.
It mutters something out but Tari can't really understand it through the fuzziness inhibiting his senses.
Swirls.
Swirly swirls.
Green swirls appear in his genie's eyes as they stare down directly into his own.
His genie held up his chin, as to help him see its beautiful eyes better.
Tari was feeling droopy before, but now, he feels fixated on what the genie was doing.
It muttered many soft words that he couldn't make out, but it made him feel warm accompanied with Sylvan's gentle caresses.
It boops Tari's nose before pulling out a card behind his nose! Like a magic trick!
'Huh....' Tari thought to himself. 'Green swirls on the card too....'
The card the genie held up was a blank card with only a gyrating swirl of green symphony. It looked oh so prettyyyy.
Sylvan took its thumb and index finger, placed it under its Master's chin by his neck, and slowly drags those fingers back towards it, caressing his chin along the way.
Tari felt something well up in him. It felt like that warm feeling he's been experiencing for the last few minutes... but? slowly escaping him?
Green energy emits from Tari's eyes, blinding his vision of anything.
He feels himself being dragged towards somewhere. He feels like he was going towards a luke-warm void....
His vision cleared, and his mind cleared too. He seemed to be in a weird pocket dimension surrounded by the same swirls Sylvan conjured. He couldn't tell if his eyes were still clouded.
He looked to his hands and realized his form was very faded and translucent.
It seemed to be getting more stable with each passing second.
Tari wonders a little bit, seeing what he can deduce from this mischievous act from his genie, slowly waiting for his form to regain strength.
He then sees a part of the pocket dimension clear up. An oval shape directly in front of him.
An escape!!
Tari rushes towards to translucent portal to be stopped by it when he attempted to throw himself at it.
Just then, he sees a familiar face looking through the translucent pane, deviously smiling at him.
Tari banged on the translucent portal, desperately trying to accomplish anything, to no success....
Sylvan looks at its Master within his new prison and presses its lips against the see-through part lovingly and pulls back.
"Oh Master..." Its voice somehow doesn't boom loudly.
"Now you know what the next card will be-..."
"Youu!!~" it says gleefully as it hugs its Master and his new prison affectionately.
How long was he going to be in here, Tari thought to himself.....
