Bastiel And Darren look at Bas’s daughter Pastiel with the most bittersweet of tears. And why wouldn’t they? Bas has her birthday today (the sweetness); but she, Darren, and so many others mourn Dragoneer’s loss (the cruel, harsh bitter). Pastiel, being a mere child, understands none of this; she just knows Mom and company have been teary-eyed, and Mom has been especially huggy today. Soon she’ll understand today’s loss. And tomorrow’s beginnings…

Today is  bastiel’s 30th birthday. Sadly, it’s also the first anniversary of the passing of  dragoneer. The providence of his death, her birthday, and her and I being prefur artists led to this. So see this as a gift for both of them.

And so ends my Dragoneer death series. Hope he’s doing well, wherever he is…

And if Bas looks weird, it’s because I used multiple versions of her dragon form for this as references, so she has elements that weren’t together in her other pieces and may not gel together, especially with my art style, and because I tried copying how she draws her dragon wings despite us drawing them differently.
