I took time off work and flew back to California just to attend Califur with :iconcedarrabbit
We took turns being each other's handler/photographer, and said photos were largely limited to our data phones. Also, we were having way too good a time with friends and everything to stop for too many photos, but we did manage to capture a few great images.
I just could not let this one go by without stealing 'em for a couple of snapshots! After taking a closer look at the wings, I got this great idea! I've got to say, this is my favorite pic of all time! <3
I grasped his wing to look at the feathers, and they were awesome! So I signaled my cameraman for one for photo, then grabbed both wings and wrapped them around myself like a giant blanket
