I made this almost three years ago using pen and ink as my medium, There are a number of reasons why I don't like this picture, for one, the hair of snakes is too small for the head of Medusa. another is that back then I decided to show a little bit of her scalp...and many more among other things!
But I worked hard on this picture, each snake I made sure was different in it's own way but could still be similar to other snakes.

This piece was a bit of an experiment, as you can see some snakes have markings on their heads while the majority don't, well that was an attempt to make them more real, but it horribly failed so I decided to give up on that.

Other snakes don't get along well...some have combs others don't one has two heads and theres even a tail in there.

I have no idea why I placed the angel in there, it was a final fantasy thing and well I wanted to make people stare in awe and wonder at the time...
like "why is an angel above Medusa's head?" and "oooOOOooo...Pirtie snakies!"

I hope you like this piece, It took me three weeks to draw each snake individually and I'm still quite proud of it dispite all my mistakes...
