I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone here for supporting me and my work. Art has been my life and it means a great deal to me in so many ways, and being able to share it with you all means a great deal more.

You have an unlimited amount of choices out there to choose where your time, attention, and support goes, so I am dearly touched that such generosity is shared with me. Hopefully the stories and silly things I work on extend that generosity out there too on this silly thing we call the wide web.

Many are beaten down by what they think art is supposed to be, or what this or that is required to be considered an artist to the point certain truths are lost along the way.

...And there is the truth that you don't need to make things highly detailed and perfect in order for it to be beautiful. Nor do you need to fight and compete with others for your art to be meaningful or worthy of embrace. Our entire world and humanity is made by our expression and art.

I've been at this a long, long time now and none of it was ever easy. The one skill developed that has helped me the most...was my growing patience for the work, and the love I grew to embrace imperfections so that I could improve through them one day at a time.

The greatest tool you have as an artist is you. If you're going through your own frustrations and doubts with art, never forget that each time is an opportunity to better understand yourself and nurture your empathy. Push the boundaries of those points instead of beating yourself up near them. Feel greatly but see beyond.
