Maybe, I'm not sure honestly. I've generally referred to that type of underwear (boxer-length, but briefs-like snug) as boxer-briefs, and so have most other people I know. Trunks would make sense too though.

Same here! Normally I'm a briefs only guy, but I found recently that Jockey puts out an awesome line of tight, elastic athletic boxer-briefs. I just love the way they hug my thighs and ass. And, yes, they definitely emphasize my package nicely.
