I actually tried to make that the exact reverse, Kimmy taking after Chip and Nate taking after Gadget. I really wanted to avoid the "girl takes after mommy, boy after daddy" mechanic that so often happens in these situations. Kimmy is the natural leader and adventurer and Nate loves to tinker. He's currently building a mechsuit for himself.
