Although elephants were mentioned and depicted in ancient Greek texts and works of art, they were not native animals and did not play a significant role in the daily lives of the Greeks. Elephants, especially war elephants, were primarily associated with Hellenism and the Diadochi, the successor states of Alexander the Great.
The Greeks knew elephants primarily from accounts and illustrations spread through trade with the Orient and military campaigns in Asia. While there were no resident elephant populations, specimens were brought to Greece as trophies or for demonstration purposes.
Here, I had fun creating an anthropomorphic elephant in ancient Greek armor using Hero Forge.
I call him Damon (representing loyalty and friendship).
This anthropomorphic elephant is of immense size and muscular mass, wearing armor befitting his foreign, but now familiar, homeland.
His heart is the strongest of all his muscles.
He only wants to use his elephantine strength to protect the innocent and punish the wicked.
May the gods of Olympus be kind to him and may he find his path to heroism.
