While common, this is definitely one of the most popular forms of karma I’ve ever seen: the one who tries a shortcut (pun not intended) and the one who tries to stop her each get an change, but the one who isn’t a runner gets the runner’s body.
And if Lucius’ comment of her “stout” shape is genuine, then the actual runner is sadly “out of shape” in a way that’s actually justifies her being off-panel, as if to spare her from the shame of what happens when using using weird magic to be a better runner.

But she's actually a healthy size for her kind, "Fat Sand Rat" Or "Psammomys obesus" Is actual scientific name for the species. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_sand_rat and yes, they are adorably chunky.
