Hmm, the red-haired girl comparison's a bit off, though, as Claire was technically a playable character whereas Kairi...was not. Everything else applies, though!

I, for one, never played either of them, being limited only to Youtube videos. =/ Reason is because CD consoles are breakingly expensive down there, in Brazil.

Don't envy me THAT much. NiGHTS I had to rent even the console itself (Saturn) just to play, back in the day.

And this game conundrum also has the obstacle of me only assuming I'll have the chance to get either next-gen console in a near future. So for all I know I may never have either game :(

It ain't for everyone and it might not hold well to today's game standards in terms of gameplay, but for its time it was a blast just flying about doing loop-de-loops to score points and beat your enemies (who were not unlike early Sonic game baddies in that they weren't so much threats as they were mild annoyances at best). It's comparable to Okami in that it's a game that's almost more of an artform than a game...also, just like Okami, it's one of those kinds of games that *SCREAMS* "game port that could take advantage of Wiimote gameplay", though thankfully that's looking to be the case with NiGHTS at least.

*ahem* as for KH Kompy's pose? I got lucky. Was supposed to have been just a head shot, but then I completed the other one and leaving it only a bust woudn't have worked, so body was added last minute o_o

I *wish*. (I have a DC that could use some more games besides a pirated copy of GGX) It was only ever made as a Saturn game. A DC version was at one point toyed with, but then the game got scrapped halfway for whatever reason.

Meaning, yes, it'll have been almost eleven years since the franchise got an actual game for itself in any other console. Now you know why some gamers wept so hard for a sequel or port of it, myself included :P

One of those big video game mysteries of our time, it seems.

On the plus side, now NiGHTS fans can have faith that they have a better chance of getting their sequel before Duke Nukem Forever comes out :V

I prefer the Nights Kompy though, it's all curvy and mysticaly. Plus, not many people draw Nights fanart. :p

The differences between the eye shapes make me suspect the key-bearing Kompy of contemplating how far one could bat a floating head with one good swing.
