Think twice before jumping on the bandwagon with one of the big groups like Ordo, Mercz, 2142, or Vanguard. Numbers don't count for shit in SL combat, and the bigger groups tend to be more about standing around on base having roleplay sex in instant messages than combat. These groups promise victory, and glory in battle, but in reality they fall flat on their faces. One exception is 2142 which has in the past organized some powerful offensive operations, but it's rare for them these days. If you want good combat consider joining a smaller group.
