Full-view please. xD, I know it's huge, but the details of the suit get lost in the smaller images. xD
Sooooooooooooo...he's technically finished. And yet...not. xD, There are some places we're going to take in the seams, clean it up, fine-tune, all that jazz. But this is how he debuted at Comic-con and GEEZUS! Got a LOT of attention. xD, And I was surprised, every kid wanted a hug despite how he looked kinda' scary. xD, Even toddlers in strollers wanted at the very least a high five. xD lol
Things I learned:
- Suiting in San Diego summer SUCKS. lol xD
- Paw pads don't need to be fully stuffed to look good.
- Painting on markings with airbrush paint must be done with care and less is most definitely more.
- Stencil aibrushing is so much easier than I thought.
- Make eyes smaller so my range of vision is a bit improved. xD
- Make a mock-up footpaw before making the actual feet, normally my second foot is always better made. lol
- Trim neck line a bit more (this will be done on this suit as we fix it up)
- When foaming the head, less is more.
The Berner head, I have a feeling, will turn out perfect in comparison due to it being foamed carefully. It doesn't look too large like this jackal head does. It's just a mite too large for the suit I think. Will trim the foam back a bit more next time. The fur adds so much no matter how much I trim it. lol
I <3 how his handpaws came out.
I need to tack back his jowls, they're a bit out of control. lol, But I can do that very easily. ;3
Overall, the suit came out nicely, it got nothing but good marks at con (even from other furries), I'm pretty proud. Not bad for the first digitigrades legs we've ever done. I'm surprised. lol
I imagine we'll only improve from here. lol xD
Due to me realizing airbrushing tends to not look good on long fur (for things like tribal tattoos and other intricate picture-based designs) we've decided to pimp him out with Egyptian jewelry instead. xD, Once he has all his accessories, we'll take updated pics. But it'll be a while yet.
I'll say fursuit commissions are tentatively open. If you'd like to commission a suit from us, just note me and tell me about your project. I do have other commission projects on my queue, but everything is mostly halted except the Berner suit. Sooo...I do have time to fit a project or two in-between. xD

My goodness! Look at those legs! I love him I love him!
-glomps-
I really love the realistic look on the face too. And it's also good to hear about what you're learning as you progress.
I have to say, for this being you third suit, it's really good. I don't doubt you'll get more commissions soon. =3
Also, I'm honored that you picked the name I suggested, I think it suits him well.

We're very proud about how nicely the legs came out since we'd never done digitigrade before. ^^, It makes us much more confident that we'll be able to make the legs for Cocoa just fine. lol xD
And it was the best name that was suggested. ;3, It seemed to suit his character. ^^

Haha, that's fine with me. xD, For your average body-suit, plantigrade, you'll need anywhere from 4-5 yards of fur. ;3, I'd say 4 for you, since you already have the fur needed for the head and handpaws. ^^, That should be plenty. ;3
Did you want a plantigrade suit or digitigrades like the jackal? ;3, My seamstress partner urges me to charge a good deal more for the digi-legs, she hates making them. lol xD, Even though they look so good. xD
