It's genuinely really good. The fight and martial arts coriography is just stellar and it is slightly more faithful to the manga.

While I agree. The opening is not as good or energetic as the original. The original opening was one of the few openings I would never skip. The remakes opening, I would skip every episode. Not seen all of it yet, only saw 2 episodes last I looked, but wow. They were really faithful to the story and art style, and it was just really good. The remake added some extra details to the first episode, which really enhances things. I need to schedule some time to go through it.

I used to watch this as a kid, and my country expected to "harm" the popularity of the series saying that it was all porn and whatever xDDDDDDD

I loved it, and it has loads of funny moments. Best show ever :)

I also watched the original, though at this point I'm unsure whether it was broadcast or VHS/DVD back then. Might've also read the manga, though the accuracy of my recollection might be fuzzy. My brother did all the anime+manga collecting, if I read the manga back then he still has them now.

That original opening is still seared into my memory though. I've always wanted to imitate the 'characters running' animation with my own OC's, with the added sight gag that the ones depicted horizontally and upside down would at some point realize they're defying gravity, and subsequently fall to the bottom of the screen :D

Ha! Ranma 1/2! My gateway into collecting manga. I've only watched like two-ish episodes of the original series and not any of the new ones. Still, great homage.
