Great stuff! Bailin out like this is very risky. There's always the risk of smashing into the tail. On of the preferred way was to set the elevator trim foreword (so that the nose would pitch down) pull back on the frotle. Point the nose down, and then roll on your back. You want to use gravity to force yourself away, and as long as you have set the trim right and elevators have not been damaged you drop out as the plane pitches up. Do it wrong you might just ending up like Marseille. :(
