His ancestral home, once a bustling trade hub, is now a serene sanctuary for his kind. As the keeper of ancient knowledge, he is revered among his people for his wisdom and his unrivaled ability to navigate the treacherous mountain paths. His long life has been dedicated to preserving their culture and herding the remaining humans to safety in the harsh winters.

A creature of routine and tradition, Gerhard is both pragmatic and warm-hearted. He values knowledge above all and often retreats to his vast library, nestled within the mountain's embrace. Despite his age, he maintains a sprightly demeanor, often engaging with the youth of the valley and sharing tales of old.
