I am a visual thinker, my thoughts and feelings are images, sometimes still and often times flowing with the energy brought on by the emotions that conjured such visuals.
It is difficult to convey into words what meaning a piece holds.
In many ways there isn't just one answer but many.
The simple description is that this is a celebration of my friendship with
and how after years of silly interactions and hanging out online,
our paths crossed after my move out of FL.
Without getting into details, I am a person that has learned in the hardest of ways that nothing is guaranteed. Many hardships I faced in my life were moments I found myself very alone and lacking even support from my family.
Honestly, I am still not use to having people in my life that are actually present and reliable. That was the big realization for me some time ago when I painted this. A celebration of those I have around me.
The coyote and the hyena.
Two animals that all too often are misunderstood. Nature does not halt itself over such judgements, we cannot wait around in hopes of others to understand when our movement forward shares far more.
Two air elements that can go unnoticed because their presence is not as bold as fire or sturdy as earth but they are as constant as breath. Light but present even if you do not realize. I've thought a bit on saying something here and basically settled on just wanting to express appreciation - in a time when anyone could've just assumed the worst it feels nice that at least some folks took me for my actions and intentions firsthand, I'm glad I could help offer some surety (which everyone deserves, of course!), and I hope there's far, far more of it in the future for you and yours both. <3
