It’s hard to see shadows in the dark, so perhaps it’s not your fault for wandering too close, but it ends the same really. Something above you melts, splattering across your head as you walk beneath. Your face stretches into a snout, hair melting and spreading into fur and large ears that let you hear everything within these halls.
Your fingers crack and stretch, the webbing of wings already beginning to form between them even while a tail tears through your shorts. It all happens so very quickly, you barely get the chance to even register what has happened before you’re another of the creatures hanging from above, eager for you to join their colony...
