Get ready for a timeless adventure 'cuz today marks the 30th anniversary of Chrono Trigger (according to it's North American release date)!
Did You Know...
The idea for Chrono Trigger came from Hironobu Sakaguchi's trip to the United States where he traveled with Yuji Hori and Akira Toriyama and wanted to make a game that was completely different. This gave them more creative freedom than if they were making another Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy title. They balanced Dark and Light-Hearted storytelling elements.
In the game, you can actually meet "The Dream Team" which was one of the concepts for Chrono Trigger and are cameo appearances of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Hori, Nobuo Uematsu, Kazuhiko Aoki and Akira Toriyama.
This is also my official tribute to Akira Toriyama who sadly passed away on March 1, 2024. This piece is dedicated to the fans and loved ones affected by the loss of this absolute legend 🙏❤️🩹✨
