Male Ruby Crowned Kinglet (displaying crown)

This male Ruby crowned Kinglet is one of the best bird pictures I have ever taken! I took this on my front porch railing at a distance of about 24 inches, 4 1/2 years ago. He was very tame and FRIENDLY! As I walked across the porch, he flew down from the tree and landed and stood there looking at me from 2 feet away. I had my camera with me so I took several pictures. this was the BEST of the group. These birds are one of the birds who are only here in Winter. Right now (Summer) they are in the Arboreal forest, deep inside of Canada.
