TR69's What If?... "Queen Tyr'ahnee Became She-Ra"
It is the 24th and one-half century, and for hundreds of years Mars and Earth had been at war with one another. The Galactic Protectorate of Earth constantly on the alert for when the Martian’s would strike next. Meanwhile in another galaxy, in another universe, a fierce struggle between the Rebels of Etheria and the evil Horde Empire has also waged for quite some time, the technologically adept Hordak, leader of the Horde, constantly at odds with his sworn enemy and former acolyte, Adora, or as she is more commonly known as, She-Ra.
There had been many close calls for She-Ra and her Etherian rebel friends, but now, things had taken a grim turn with the arrival of Horde Prime, the supreme leader of the Horde and Hordak’s master. During the battle, Adora was badly wounded and her allies spread thin across Etheria. With the aid of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, Gwildor, and his cosmic key, the Sword of Protection was in the process of being transported to a safe place, when Hordak’s forces managed to track them down, during the struggle, Gwildor accidently entered the wrong sequence, thus opening a portal to an unknown universe, where the Sword of Protection was then sent. At least it would be far from the Horde’s reach, for the time being.
Meanwhile, back in the 24th and one/half century, on the planet Mars, Queen Tyr’ahnee was doing her absolute best to reign in her fury. Once again, Captain Duck Dodgers of the Galactic Protectorate made fools of Commander X2 and his Centurion’s, while also sabotaging yet another one of their latest schemes. As the Commander was waiting for his scolding from his beloved queen, Tyr’ahnee was glancing out her palace window when something caught her attention. A strange flickering light, like a portal had opened in the sky near the main gates of the palace and a bright object shot out of it before crashing down to the ground with force.
“What on Mars was that?” The Queen thought to herself before she ordered her centurions to accompany her to the main gates, where sure enough, a sizeable crater was found, with a radiant light emitting from within it. It was then that the Queen found herself staring down at what resided at the bottom crater. It was a sword, but unlike any she had ever seen before, it shined more than any of the most polished metallic objects she had ever seen in her entire life, and in the center of the blade, a brilliant blue jewel. Before she reached down to pick it up, she looked back at her Centurion Robot escort and asked them to scan for any harmful levels of radiation. One of the Centurion’s reported that there was no harmful radiation present on the object, it radiated with an unknown form of energy, one unlike any in the known galaxy. Intrigued, Tyr’ahnee reached down and took hold of the handle. Despite it being made of solid metal, it felt remarkably light, Moreso than a blade like it should have.
“Very odd, what are you, my strange little melee weapon?” She pondered to herself as she examined the sword she held in her hand. As she noticed her reflection in the sword, she let out a gasp when she heard a strange woman’s voice in her head before her eyes met those of a strangely stressed earthling looking woman. “W-What is this?! Who are you? Identify yourself immediately!” *The Queen barked as she glared daggers at the strange avian dressed woman. The strange woman, however, was calm and didn’t seam the least bit concerned. She then spoke. “Peace, Queen Tyr’ahnee. I am the Sorceress of Castle Gray skull on Eternia, in a universe vastly different from your own.”
“Sorceress? Castle-what? Eternia?” Tyr’ahnee was flustered and confused. “What was this strange woman babbling about? And why did it feel like her words were genuine?” The Queen was asking herself before she heard the Sorceress speak to her telepathically. “I haven’t much time, the sword in which you hold has found its way to you, you must protect it from those who would misuse its power. To harness the power of the blade, simply raise the sword to the sky and recite the magic words and you shall become the new She-Ra.” The Sorceress said before her voice, and her apparition vanished completely, leaving a very confused Tyr’ahnee standing alongside her even more confused Centurion’s, who only saw their Queen talking to nobody.
Looking down at the sword, Tyr’ahnee scoffed at what had just happened, concluding that it was nothing more than the result of an over-stressed mind. She was about to hand the sword off to one of her Centurions before a glint of curiosity crossed the queen’s mind. “I wonder…” She thought to herself before raising the sword into the air, the blade pointing skyward, but before she was about to speak some random incantation, she found herself calling out “For the Honor of Grayskull!” Suddenly, she found herself engulfed in shimmering golden energy and felt a powerful and primal kind of unknown power course through her body from the sword. She could not believe what was going on, but by Mars, it felt fabulous. When the burst of energy subsided, she took notice of her altered attire and the newfound power now coursing through her. Her people were never ones to believe in such primitive things as magic, but this was nothing her scientific intellect could even begin to comprehend. Regardless, she only knew one thing, this mysterious new toy will help her to finally achieve what she had never done before, Conquer the Earth and Dominate Duck Dodgers! She will certainly need it should the Horde discover her universe and attempt to conquer her empire and claim it for their own. Til then, Earthlings beware, She-Rahnee is coming.
The End…?
