She openly champions freedom of self-expression, polyamorous relationships, and community autonomy. Born in Entarium, where her hybrid parents fled a ban on mixed marriages, she grew up in the Northern Country's province—a region with relative tolerance toward hybrids. Currently, amid crisis and the country's alignment with xenophobic regimes, Maila fights against the tightening of policies toward minorities, risking becoming a victim of her own bravery.
