Angel and Tiger Eyes jumped back at that. “Good God, Copeland! What the heck?”
“It’s called a joke, girls.” Copeland rolled her eyes, “Chill out.”
“I don’t think it was a joke.” Tiger Eyes said, “You pulled a gun and were about to shoot someone two minutes ago.”
“She what?” Angel looked to the others, “Is that why this guy jumped out a window to get away?”
“Scared the heck out of them, gave me a good opening too.” Copeland, smirked, “So let’s wrap-”
“I don’t think you were trying to scare him.” Tiger Eyes said, “Were you really going to kill him?”
“What if that was that case?” Copeland said, “They shot me first, if anything it’d be defending you guys and myself.
“You know why we don’t do that,” Circuit Grit interjected, “We take them alive so they face justice. We’re supposed to be better than that, better than them.”
“And why do you think two of them got away?” Copeland said, “They don’t play by any rules but win. They know it, we know it, my dad does that all the time.” Then she kicked the rabbit in the stomach leaning down with the gun in her hands. “So, what were you stealing those drugs for?” Copeland said, “You clearly weren’t selling them.”
The rabbit just looked at her, and the pistol in her hands. Copeland racked a bullet, and the rabbit squirmed and backed up into Angel’s legs.
“Dial it back, Copeland.” Tiger Eyes said, Pulling him back. “For pete sake. Circuit, make sure she doesn’t blow his head off.”
Circuit only nodded, then ushered the wolfess away from the interrogation,
“Man, he is jumpy now.” Copeland said, looking over this hybrid’s shoulder, “He’s gonna be singing soon enough.”
“Copeland, you are going at all this very aggressive.” Circuit looked to her, “What is this all about? Is there an ulterior motive to this?”
Copeland didn’t look Circuit Grit in the eyes immediately, “Yeah, Sort of… I’m sort of in a rush, wanting to get this done, then go meet up with my brother. We’re heading out with some friends to see that new movie.”
At that, Circuit looked at her for a while, then looked back to the other girls talking with this rabbit. Then she turned back to Copeland, “Dismissed. I think we can handle things from here, but I want you to talk with us again the next day.”
Copeland smiled and hugged Circuit, “You’re the best, girl.” Then she went running off, and shouted back, “I’ll grab the good stuff for you!” rather loud for some reason. Circuit looked to her puzzled, but then went to the interrogation. The rabbit watched her leave, wide-eyed.
