I do hope this question is meant rhetorically. Otherwise, I'm sure we can all agree that the obnoxious little twerp is in for a rude shock.

I suspect it will. Think about it - over your life, you've probably seen a hundred and one boy-bands and "singing sensations" turn up. You know how it goes: for a few months this band/singer/marketable lip-syncing gonk is touted as the biggest thing since sliced bread, all the girls squeal and fawn over him, then soon enough the flabby, bloated music industry rolls over with the next big thing and squashes the previous top spot into artistic obscurity. Occasionally you'll get someone who ends up becoming true classics, but for every Elvis Presley or Queen, there must be dozens of Boyzones and S Club 7s who'll wind up being forgotten by the public.
Bieber may seem much more prevalent than previous pop sensations, but that's really only because the Internet allows his fans and detractors to be so much more vocal.
All I can really advise is to just buy a pair of headphones, block out the drone of the mass-produced starlets and rock out to the music that you will always remember. I bet it'll sound much better.

You're right, of course, and if I hadn't learned to drone this sort of thing out by now, I'd be insane. Still though, you have to admit that Bieber's current plateau in the music industry has lasted a bit longer than some of the other starlets since the start of the century.
