Pokedex Entry: Leafpunny, the Verdant Rabbit Pokémon. Leafpunny's cellular structure is more akin to a plant's than an animal's, allowing them to utilize photosynthesis to provide food and energy. Many are often spotted slumbering in open fields on bright sunny days, becoming more active at night. Leafpunny are considered the more 'modest' of their evolutionary branches due to growing a leaf-like covering for their bodies. When first evolved, their bodies produce a scent akin to freshly cut grass before settling on a scent dependent on their environment. Their scents are often used to produce new scents of perfume.
Poke Comment:Poké Comment: Trainers should be advised that a Leafpunny is semi-nocturnal and will often be more active from 5pm to midnight and sunrise to noon. This schedule can be altered if a Trainer has enough of a connection to their Leafpunny that they want to spend more time with their Trainer, but will also require the Trainer to rework their food budget for Leafpunny's increased appetite. Trainers who evolve their Pokémon into a Leafpunny should be advised to retrain them in how to enter buildings due to Leafpunny being the tallest of all their evolutionary lines, thanks to being part plant. In the winter months and colder areas, Leafpunny will be more affectionate due to needing to absorb the natural excess heat that a Trainer's body gives off. Be aware of when a Leafpunny begins to smell like cherry blossoms for that is a sign they are entering a heat cycle, often during the early to mid spring. Keep mint candies or anything that has the scent of a mint on hand to help regulate and keep your Leafpunny calm during these months. Once pregnant, Leafpunny begin to produce a highly nutritious sap-like milk for their future offspring but can also be harvested if the Leafpunny encourages it and can produce ten gallons of it per day. Compared to others of their branching evolutions, Leafpunny produce the most offspring giving birth to as many as fifteen offspring per pregnancy.
