Amelia Hawthorne [Clothes]
A new character of mine that I've fallen in love with!
I really wasn't pleased with my design for my 'fursona' character. She didn't even look remotely like a rat, save for her tail. I decided this time I would make a more accurate rat anthro, and Amelia was the result. I absolutely love how the rat face gives her a sharp and refined look to her, it's so much better than the cutesywooty smushed up faces I usually draw, and I'm proud I was able to make a rat look attractive while keeping the same facial features that they have.
Her markings are mirrored from my old and most special rat, Aristotle, so it's a little bit of a personal dedication to him in that.
She's a steam punk character, she's of the worker class and holds her low paying job at a metal factory. Though it's mostly a job for men, she does her part very well and gets along with all of her work mates. Unlike most people of her class, she will not bat an eyelash at offending someone in higher status than her own. She views everyone equally, and treats them the way she feels they deserve to be treated. She can be the most helpful and sweetest thing with her fellow workers and the townspeople of the lower sect, but she is rather notorious for having quite a tongue against the posh and egotistical higher class. She wont take any bad lip from anyone without a fight, no matter who they are.
Though she seems strong and high spirited on the streets, in her own tiny home which consists of only one room and a few necessities, she is often worn out from her hard work and energy put out in the day. When she isn't working, she likes to paint impressionistic artwork to put her troubled mind at ease, in order to sleep and start the next day with a smile.
Her pocket watch is a good luck charm to her, she found it as a young girl and it is the most valuable thing she owns, being made of real silver with a golden chain. She has lovingly named it 'Old Hope'.
On her ear is a brass locket, it's contents are unknown. (still working on design)
Her accent is close to a Manchurian accent, which makes her miss or slip up on her H's on occasion. But it also gives a very rough bite to her voice when she gets fired up in one of her rants against the nobles' behaviors.
About her clothes:
She wears mostly masculine work clothes, they often get soot and remnants of the metals she works with on them, and occasionally paint stains. The closest she will ever get to a dress is her carrying partial skirt, which has 2 large pockets to hold supplies, such as her paints. The gear on her hat is something she crafted herself during her free time at the metal factory. She wears dull earthy colors.
